You need JavaScript enabled to view it Website Contact Person: Catherine Pedemonti Phone: 617-522-2700 The Agassiz bridge is a historic bridge in the Back Bay Fens. There are planting pockets along the side of each bridge (facing the Muddy River) that have not been maintained in years and therefore are home to a number of volunteer trees, including birch (approx. 3-4) and black locust (approx. 3), shrubs such as sumac (approx. 3) and additional invasives such as knotweed and honeysuckle. These volunteers are poised to threaten the masonry of the bridge, if they have not done so already. We are looking for someone to come and cut and remove the volunteer trees, helping preserve a historic bridge in the Emerald Necklace, a park on the National Registry of Historic Places.
