It has a fine picnic area, soccer fields, walking trail, skate park and basketball courts for the community to enjoy. The problem is the entrance and the parking area has many trees that have not been maintained in many years. As you drive into the park the first thing one sees is a 12-inch dbh dead gray birch in the middle of a roundabout. There are other small, standing dead trees that the Town has not been able to remove in a timely manner due to the extensive tree work required throughout the rest of the town. There are many trees growing into each other causing limbs to rub and break. Deadwood is becoming a major problem. A thorough pruning is crucial to the future existence of some of the trees on site. This Arbor Day of Service project request would be most appreciated by all of those who use the park. Volunteer for this project. Click here
