You need JavaScript enabled to view it Website Contact Person: Jim Phone: 603-882-0686 As a New Hampshire member of MAA, McGuinness Tree Service is holding a day of service up here in the Granite State. Our project this year is going to be a removal job at the old Benson's Wild Animal Park, in Hudson, which closed it's gates back in 1987. The past few years have seen a large local effort to preserve and revive the grounds where this once regional destination stood. While the animals and rides are long gone, volunteers have cleaned up parts of the grounds and reopened as a nature park. Unfortunately, there are many hazardous, dead trees choked out by vines that are too big for the amateurs to handle. We hope to rid Benson's of some of the larger eyesores so that over time, with the help of volunteers, the beauty of the grounds can be uncovered and displayed to the public. Many of the employees at McGuinness Tree, as well as the owner, Shawn, are from Hudson and we all have memories from years ago when you could see lions and elephants and gorillas in southern NH. |
