The Proctor Elementary School

The Proctor Elementary School is a very accessible and level site with most of its trees near roads or parking lots. There are both shade and ornamental trees in need of pruning. These are predominantly oaks, maples, and pines. The ornamentals are dogwoods and crabapples that have been largely neglected. Planting of new trees is needed, in particular, to shade the playgrounds where several diseased and dangerous oaks were previously removed. There are also opportunities for fertilizing, additional tree removals, as well stump grinding. The site is convenient from routes 9, 135 and 495
