We have a multitude of programs underway and you may have seen us on the front page of the Telegram and Gazette with regard to our new planetarium. We are challenged in that we have a very large facility with extensive acreage and it has become overgrown. We have many outdoor activites from canopee tree walks to our otter exhibit to our nature walks and finally our our Polar Bear viewing area that is on a long walkway down the back of our facility. Kenda is a beautiful bear and a lot of fun to observe but we recently got some bad press due to the surrounding plant overgrowth and the state of dissrepair in our walkways and finally Kenda's habitat that did not present our facility in the best light. Yes we will not likely replace Kenda when she is gone but it is the home she knows and we refuse to stress this beautiful bear that has given a lot back to the Ecotarium and Worcester children. The bottom line is that we are a wonderful educational non-profit facility in Central Massachusetts that relies heavily on the generosity of our members, surrounding companies, government grants (when we can get them) and our endowment. We would be forever grateful if MAA would consider us for this beautification project. Thanks again Volunteer for this project. Click here
